20 Trailblazers Leading The Way In Toto Asia

The Band Toto Asia

Toto was expanding its production facilities overseas, and doing business in France and Germany, Indonesia, Korea and Taiwan, Thailand and the People's Republic of China. North America was seen as an area of growth for Washlet toilets and bidet seats, as opposed its "base" markets in Japan and China.

Dhaniram Toto was recording Toto words to ensure that the future generations would be able to read them. Many words were substituted with foreign ones. For example, dui, which is Bengali for verandah, was used.

Origins

The early history of Toto, which began in 1917, mirrored Japan's economic expansion. In the first half of 1917, Toto produced products to meet the demands for modern, contemporary urban housing. It used the first tunnel kiln in the country to produce ceramics continuously. It also pioneered the use automation to control production, which allows for greater efficiency and consistency.

The company began expanding its operations overseas in the late 1980s in order to profit from new markets and sales opportunities.  먹튀검증  launched the Cera Trading Company, importing and distributing other products from other manufacturers to complement its own line of sanitary earthenware and plumbing fittings. This strategy increased sales and expanded the firm’s global market share.

In the 90s, Toto began to concentrate on research and development for water-related appliances. It also improved its system of distribution to better serve customers and increase profit. The company adopted a just-in-time method of managing supply chains, and it used the same approach in its sales program. This led to a higher level of satisfaction with the customer.

Toto has continued to innovate with regard to toilet technology. The latest toilet, for instance is equipped with a powerful tornado flush that is more ecologically green than traditional toilets. The company uses recycled water for its manufacturing process, and has a green purchasing policy. In addition to toilets Toto produces bathtubs and faucets, as well as hand dryers that are more energy efficient than typical models.

The first museum of the company opened in the year 2015 It has exhibits on Toto's seminal products and their evolution, its group companies (all having to do with ceramics), historical background of plumbing and products such as bath units and, in a separate gallery, Toto products sold around the world. The museum has bathrooms with a WASHLET and other toilet innovations.

Before forming Toto the band, members of the group did sessions for various musicians. Keyboardist David Paich, drummer Jeff Porcaro and guitarists Mike Porcaro and Steve Lukather all played on the album Silk Degrees by Boz Scaggs. They also played on records by Steely Don, Seals and Crofts and Sonny and Cher.

Discography

With a name as evocative as Asia, you would expect the group to be prog queens and kings - but it's actually a fairly straightforward rock band. The group started out as a quartet and released two albums - 1979's self-titled debut and 1980's Armed to the Teeth. The group has a diverse musical background, but their biggest success came in 1982 when they released Toto IV.

The album was a major blockbuster but not without its difficulties. Record companies put the band on the place with the directive "give us an album that is a success or we'll sack you" and the pressure was on to give it. Luckily for Toto they did with the help of the smash hit single "Africa."

Toto's musical mastery owes a lot to their prior experience since the members had been session musicians for artists such as Boz Scaggs, Steely Dan, and Seals and Crofts before starting the group. Their distinctive sound has since become the standard for '80s pop, and has influenced many modern artists.

The album opens up hard with tracks like Running Out of Time or Unknown Soldier that show the band's ability to create great AOR songs that slowly sink into your head. The album also includes some more jazzy, slower tracks such as The Little Things and Chinatown. The album ends with Great Expectations. This song mixes folk and distorted AOR which could sound completely wrong but actually is very effective.

After Toto IV The band's fortunes took a turn to the downside. David Hungate left to concentrate on his solo career, and the band was through various drummers. In 1984, Bobby Kimball left the band after drug charges. The band remained with Michael Porcaro, Steve Lukather and Michael Porcaro.

Despite the turbulence, Toto forged ahead and released Isolation however, which was not as successful as IV. The group managed to release a chart-topping album, Kingdom of Desire, in 1992. This album marked the end of Toto's lineup and the debut of Simon Phillips, a new vocalist.

Line-up

Turn Back, the band's third studio album is an attempt to return to the classic sextet format, and an even more consistent and powerful effort that had a more grittier edge. The more experimental sound of Turn Back was a reflection of the growth of the band. Bobby Kimball's growing ability to play was evident in the vocal delivery of Joseph Williams, who had become more confident and mature. David Paich's work was more precise, sharper and less cloying than on previous performances.

After touring to promote the album, the group recorded a live performance in Amsterdam which was released as a two-CD set entitled Falling In Between Live on Eagle Records. A new studio album was released just a few months later and the band embarked on a world-wide tour to promote it. During this time keyboardist Greg Phillinganes filled in for Paich, and bassist David Hungate left the group to spend more time with his family.

In 1998, Paich & Lukather began looking through old tapes and demos to discover songs that hadn't been recorded prior to. The album was released in 2001 as a double album called Then and Now. It was the first album in the band's history that did not include any single song that had the word "A" in its title and it included one previously unreleased track, "Kari-Anne".

By 2003, Toto had begun to decline in popularity.  Highly recommended Website , Old Is New, was a commercial flop and singer Williams suffered from a bad case of laryngitis which limited his singing capabilities. In addition, Hungate returned to Nashville, while drummer Leland Sklar was replaced by Shem von Schroeck.

Downes and the other members of Asia--Wetton, Palmer, and Howe--convened an event in England in the beginning of 2006 to discuss the possibility of reforming the group. This lineup, with the exception of Howe (who was busy with Yes at the time), eventually became known as Toto XIV and toured extensively.

In 2010, the band reunited for another reunion tour with a slightly different line-up, including guitarists Mike Porcaro and Steve Lukather, drummer John Pierce, bassist Shannon Forrest, and multi-instrumentalists Warren Ham and Dominique Taplin. The group also featured a special appearance by singer Michael McDonald and a backing vocalist named Mabvuto Carver.
